Rainbow Fire...

This is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. As best I can tell, this is an event known as "Rainbow Fire" and occurs only under the correct conditions. Look it up on Wiki - very cool and very fascinating.

Our next-door neighbors called us tonight and said "Get Mike outside with his camera now!" So, I went, not sure why I was going outside... a joke, a bug, a turtle.... no idea. But, it was my neighbors and they are pretty cool.

When I get out, she points up to the west and I stood there stunned for a few seconds, until my instincts kicked in and I grabbed my camera like a cat taking after a mouse. 50 or so pictures later, this was my best shot.

When kids grow up...

So this is day 3 of our son being on his "vacation" trip back to Kansas. There is no way to accurately describe how much I miss him other than to write the following:

• My hug when I get home.... where is it?
• Where is my computer partner... sitting next to me, asking questions about Roblox as he creates his "cool world?"
• I don't hear the tunes coming from the DS....
• There are no explosions happening in our living room....
• The TV is not tuned to the Disney channel....
• How come there are no wet towels on the floor of the laundry room, smelling of pool chemicals?
• Why hasn't the scooter in the garage moved at all?
• The upstairs TV isn't turned on... with nobody watching it....
• Why hasn't the Wii been played at all today?
• Hrmm.... something doesn't feel right... no hug when it's bedtime....

Rinse and repeat until the 10th.....
